Acts 2:24 - “God raised him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by death.”
After Jesus died on the cross paying our debt of sin that we owed but could not pay, they took Him and laid Him in that tomb. His body lay lifeless in the grave for three days, but all of the sudden, Jesus’ heart begins to beat. All of the sudden, blood begins to flow through His veins and life returns to His body. DEATH COULD NOT KEEP HIM. The grave could not hold Him! Jesus is alive and Easter changes everything!
Easter is a time for us to celebrate the fact that our Lord and Savior is no longer in the grave, but He has been raised from the dead. The resurrection of Jesus is what gives us hope. God tells us in 1 Peter 1 that we have a Living Hope because our hope is in the very One who was dead but now is alive.
We have every reason to celebrate Jesus this Easter season because not only has Jesus been raised to life, in the same way our dead, COLD HEARTS OF STONE HAVE BEEN RAISED TO NEW LIFE IN JESUS. Jesus’ resurrection means we have the solid and steadfast hope of being with Jesus for all eternity.
Let’s celebrate Jesus this Easter.
