The month of May is one of the busiest times of the year. Things like Mother’s Day, end of the school year, graduations, vacations, and more quickly fill up our calendars. It’s easy to get our priorities mixed up in seasons of busyness, so May is a great time to remind ourselves about the importance of family.
God designed the family to be an integral part of life, and WE NEED TO REMEMBER THE VALUE AND IMPORTANCE OF BUILDING OUR FAMILIES ON THE FOUNDATION OF JESUS. John says in 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in truth.” Parenting is difficult, but it’s also one of the greatest responsibilities and joys there is in this life.
IT'S NOT YOUR JOB AS A PARENT OR GRANDPARENT TO FIX YOUR CHILD. Only God can change a person’s heart. It’s our job to help point them to Jesus through teaching and demonstrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God doesn’t place a premium on raising children to be sports-stars or achieving the American-dream. God places a premium on raising disciples that will make an impact on this world for His glory!
